Twittervention Time. Arrivederci!

I am launching a self-imposed digital quarantine. I've been working way too much without a break since August, which was the last time I took time off for my birthday. All evidence in recent months points to delirium: stomach flu, glass in foot, forgetting ATM pin, breaking wine glasses, and allowing myself to be way too easily provoked.

I am off to meet my mom and sister for an Italian vacation. I will be back in 10 days and I am going to try not to Twitter or Facebook or do any other digital posting. Or at least keep it to a minimum. I can't really expect that I am capable of going cold turkey. And of course I'll share Flip videos and photos when I return. Or at least a select few.

Arrivaderci!

Hope you're getting to go to my favorite cities in the world: Florence, Venice, and Rome. I am, to say the least, a little bit jealous!

Natali:

Yes, it does sound like a very good time for a vacation. Lots of change (new show, new apartment, etc) creates stress (whether change is welcome or not).

You are always "on", so this is your chance to get off stage for a while, eat lots of pasta, flirt with Italian men and laugh with your family.

Come back to BOL refreshed. :0)

If I were single, I'd be arranging a road trip to Italy right now to see if you were as endearing in real life and try to make off with you.
Have a great trip to the Old Country :)

Natali,
Have a great time in Italy! You should unplug totally while on your vacation and enjoy yourself and family. I don't know you personally, but it seems that you certainly deserve this time out.
Have a ball girl!!!

I heard it's pretty expensive it is over there so be wary. And watch out for pickpockets. Be safe chica and have a great trip.

Watching you recently on BOL, it's become so clear that you've poured massive effort into hosting it. I don't just mean the skill as a broadcaster but also the surrounding mass of data a tech journalist has to be aware of. Being able to hold your own with Tom Merritt is quite an achievement and I can really understand the toll this must have taken on you to get to the polished standard you're at now on BOL.

Hope you recharge and have a great time away. It sounds like you really deserve the break.

Have fun on your vacation. Try FreeRealms when you get back, it's not a virtual world, it's a game. It's like World of Warcraft with Sims-style graphics, aimed for kids but adults will like it as well. Fun for the whole family.
